Re-arm kit didn't work

"The bobbin in the kit (I think it was part 7113) was a very tight fit onto the triggering mechanism. When I finally got the bobbin in place, some of the compound had flaked out of the bobbin. Apparently enough of the compound had fallen out that the CO2 cylinder discharged as I threaded it into the triggering mehanism. $45 wasted."

"This was for an old life jacket I bought from a fishing buddy. I tried using an old one he had but it was out of date so I bought 2 new ones- one for backup. Arrived quickly and installed easily. Just beware if buying two at once, the expiration is about 2+ years out."
